Producers
The purpose of this site is to create an environment for professional and aspiring professional producers to “webcast” their content. Today, with the advent of awesome new services like Google TV, the term “webcast” caries new meaning and weight. From the right website, the division between traditional broadcast networks, top-tier cable networks and the Explorer Channel has been blurred and is likely to evaporate in the coming decade. What will continue to matter is the content. That’s where you come in…
Like the producers at the Explorer Channel you have probably toiled for years producing great programs with little or no recognition. That doesn’t mean your work is not good – it just needs a home. For years our producers closely guarded the distribution of their content (and still do), but they also recognized the landscape has changed. The rise of YouTube type websites proved an age old saying “all publicity is good publicity – just make sure they spell your name correctly”. So that’s what we will do – we will respectfully request your program submissions, give you full credit, give you a “bio” page on our site and in the end, hopefully get you the credit for your body of work that you deserve.
Get Involved
How are we going to do that: Well in the coming months we will create an interface for you to sign in and upload your content. Please check back often to see what’s happening. Finally, starting in 2012 we plan to attend and reach out to producers at NAB (in Las Vegas) and NATPE (in Miami).
