The Explorer Channel will provide advertisers and opportunity to take advantage of traditional website advertising methods but will also develop the next generation of advertising, which we call “linkcasting”. Linkcasting is the process of combining traditional broadcast video and associated content, in the form of websites, presented to the viewer in an interactive, highly relevant environment to the end user. This form of linkcasting is not necessarily paid advertising but rather a series of relevant topics from related websites that may be of interest to the user/viewer. Our goal is to attract not only national advertisers, when relevant to the content, but also worthy websites that directly relate to the video content.
This linkcasting product is in its infancy and may take a while to perfect – so bear with us as we work out the kinks.
