About Explorer Channel:
ViewersThe Explorer Channel’s mission is to provide the user an opportunity to find and enjoy outstanding video content from some of the best video producers. Then the user can take their experience to the next level with interactive linkcasting and supporting data. In this process, we will strive to provide the user with the best online video experience and hopefully attract some advertisers along the way (we have to make money somehow).
The Concept
The Explorer Channel.net is a place for producers to submit and "air" their programming. These producers may range from high-end broadcast producers, with years of experience and programs that have aired in hundreds of markets and countries, to the next generation of aspiring talent. Talent is what they have in common but there is no resume that is required to have a program on the Explorer Channel, just tell a compelling story. From there the program or clip will be reviewed and considered. Producers with multiple programs on the Explorer Channel can request a "bio" page with links to their programs and website.
Inspiration for Explorer Channel.net came as a result of a the internet's maturity into a medium that was capable of delivering high quailty video experiences to the end viewer. This capability coupled with the proliferation of high quailty, inexpensive production equipment available to a more wide spread range of producers has lead to a place where anything is possible. While many these producers may have lacked Hollywood budgets they have never been lacking in great ideas or inspiration.
Producers
We hope to make the Explorer Channel their home. A special place for professional producers, and soon to be profesional producers, to build an audience, and to gain the notriety they deserve.
